I read to escape reality and live in the igination of the story. Books 1 and 2 kept me interested in their story. But this I will never recover from. It was gut wrenching but in a bad way. It offered no release from pain. Then slapt a bow on it.Product details

Coming To Reason A Long Road to Love Book 3 eBook Liza O'Connor Reviews
Okay, so for once, I actually approve of how this book went down.
Spoilers ahead... Trent is a confirmed d-bag, a-hole, jerk who in fact manipulated and fabricated his relationship with Carrie. She thinks she's changed him; succeeded in transforming his company, He's proposed to her and tells her his therapist has suggested that she leave the company in order to help him grow up. She falls for it. Re-enter Dan Marshal of that headhunting firm. And he helps her get a job and then gently helps her to figure out what's really going on with Trent... despite the fact that others she trusted (Sam, Mars, etc.) seem to think that because she left the company they've broken up. Tall and Tiny are back and Mars has some lovely words to say to Carrie.
Dan is certainly attracted to her, but this is where the story was lacking. I wanted more to happen between Carrie and Dan... and more than just an immediate realization by Carrie. She picks up on things so quickly and even does so in relationships. This wasn't a super romantic book, but at least the story of Trent and Carrie is over, finito and done and I can't be happier.
[We learn in book 4 that there's a reason for all of Trent's actions, which is not very redeeming at all and Trent can crawl back under the billion dollar rock he crawled out of.]
In the first book, I found myself laughing out loud during the entire book. It was snarky and funny, the kind I really enjoy. Carrie was funny and smart and resilient. Master Trent was so-so, okay when he was good and incredibly horrible when he was bad. I didn't understand how she came to care for him so much. Second book was not funny and MT kept getting worse. I did not like him in that book. In this book I HATED him, detested him, and wanted to see him get run over by Sam. Carrie totally lost her smarts in this book, too. How could she not see what he was doing? I keep hearing book 4 is MT's redemption book. I call BS because there is no way he can be redeemed after this and if the next book has her going back to him then I definitely will not be reading it. This behavior is beyond anything that be excused or forgiven. I am really sorry I read this series.
******************************************SPOILER ALERT********************************************************
Also, I have serious questions about the reviewers who say he had a good reason for what he did?? What? In what alternate reality does this make sense? He got a gal pregnant, slept with a friend's wife, got her pregnant, had sex with his employees, etc. What excuse could there be for this kind of behavior? There is NONE! If you have problems with cheating then avoid this book at all costs.
From the beginning of Carrie and Trent's relationship, there have been major problems. In Coming to Reason Carrie finally
realizes that Trent is not the man for her and finds a better man who has been there all along. Breakups are hard, and this one is
devastating. I am so glad though that Carrie finally finds someone deserving of her, and also that Trent is on a better path for his life.
Having an excerpt from the next book helped immensely in letting go of Carrie and Trent's flawed relationship.
This series has become addictive for me. Liza is unpredictable in her twists and turns which I love. I have read all of Liza O'Connor's
books and loved them all.
Carrie deserved her own happily ever after. Trent turned out not to be the one to give it to her. Coming to Reason is a hilarious adventure of a woman who learns what it really means to love someone and not just be needed by them.
The secondary characters once again steal the show from Tiny's antics to Mrs. G's loving kindness. You will grow attached to these new wonderful friends of Carries as she navigates what is reality in a world that has been lying to her.
Liza's stories always bring a smile to my face and contain some of the best lines. Make sure you check out this series!
ps. I didn't read them in order. I skipped this book until I'd read book 4... that way I totally didn't hate Trent. )
